New cars are boring. They have no character. No history. Their evolution in recent years is less working towards a masterpiece and more baby steps towards better MPG.
There is something to be said about exaggerated wings, pastel color palettes, and excessive chrome. Like a wrinkle in an aging face, each speck of rust--each scratch, each dent, each missing piece, is part of bigger story.
Or maybe it's that most of us will never know what it's like to own one. Few will know the exhilaration of punching the gas pedal and hearing the engine roar. Armed with this knowledge, we capture these moving works of art in an image, through which, our hope lives on.
