Roll#30: Becoming
Updated: Feb 19, 2020
There is a certain mystique carried by the images of an old camera when defects, constraints, and imperfections become quirks, opportunities, and beauty. The camera carries a rich history, becoming richer with every exposure.
A cracked lens.
A damaged bellow.
A stuck focus.
A hazy viewfinder.
All these imperfections, forcing a focus---to see things through a new lens. To be in the moment---to be the moment. And when the stars align---
Magic.
Trees lazily stretching their branches into the air become fireworks. Exploding, falling, raining downward.

Ponds---a human, grey eyes reflecting a cold sky. Surrounding vines, trees, and undergrowth an elegant robe.

Tunnels---a portal to another dimension.

Death---the needle on a record player, gently playing the water's eternal soundtrack.
